The 1st International Conference on Microplastics (ICM2026) was successfully held on 1โ2 July 2026 at Mercure Living Putrajaya, Malaysia. ICM2026 was strategically hosted and organized by Microplastic Research Interest Group (MRIG) of FSSM, UMTCS, Frontiers Lab Japan and ALS Technichem (M).
The conference brought together more than 100s researchers, academicians, industry experts, government agencies, and participants from Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, India, Thailand, China, Canada, South Korea, Australia and the Philippines to exchange knowledge, foster collaborations, and explore innovative solutions to address the global challenge of microplastic pollution.
It has been a great honour to be part of the organising team and witness this inspiring gathering of passionate individuals committed to advancing science, environmental sustainability, and pollution control.
