The Local Chapter ALSA UniSZA was officially created in 2010 with the aims of promoting academic and cross-cultural exchanges between Asian law students.

The National Chapter ALSA Malaysia was officially founded in 2011 with the aims of promoting academic and cross-cultural exchanges between Asian law students. Today, it comprises of more than 1700 members from the established Local Chapters and Observers:

1. National University of Malaysia (ALSA UKM)
2. University of Malaya (ALSA UM)
3. Universiti Teknologi Mara (ALSA UiTM)
4. Universiti Sultan
