The Public Sector Internal Audit Conference 2026 has successfully concluded.
Jointly organised with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the conference brought together public sector leaders and practitioners to share insights and strengthen governance practices.
With the theme “Internal Audit 360°: Driving Trust, Innovation and Strategic Impact in Public Sector Governance,” discussions focused on the evolving role of internal audit, including digital transformation, AI governance, and risk management.
We were honoured to have the keynote address delivered by YBhg. Dato’ Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi, Auditor General of Malaysia, National Audit Department, setting the tone for meaningful discussions throughout the event.

The IIA Malaysia team successfully participated in the Career & Internship Fair organised by NOVAC-TISSA UUM on 19–20 April 2026.
It was a meaningful opportunity to engage with close to 200 students at our booth, raising awareness of internal audit as a profession and sharing how it can serve as a strong career pathway. Initiatives like this allow us to plant the seeds early—introducing students to the profession as a valuable stepping stone from their university journey into the working world.
We are also pleased to share that 15 students were successfully registered as members of IIA Malaysia during the fair.

Pleased to share the successful MOU Exchange Ceremony between IIA Malaysia and SCOPE, held on 30 January in Kuching, Sarawak. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in strengthening our shared commitment towards advancing the internal audit profession and supporting the development of Certified Internal Auditors.
In conjunction with the ceremony, a meeting was also held with SCOPE to discuss potential training opportunities and future collaboration initiatives.
