The 3rd Food & Society International Conference will take place in Paris, France on the 28 - 30 March 2019, with the theme of “Indigeneity & Food”.
This topic, which covers a broad range of interests, will be explored through various manners: from culinary demonstrations to heritage preservation, food education, presentations about forgotten plants and food industry.
The conference will be divided between interactive workshops and presentations at La Sorbonne University and the Palais Royal (Royal Palace). There is also an opportunity to visit the Chantilly Castle in the French countryside.

The overarching theme of the Food & Society 2019 international conference, namely “Indigeneity & Food” comes in many variations. We have captured some of these variations into four main sub-themes, which are divided into potential research topics. This list is of course not exhaustive, and delegates are free to submit other topics as long as it relates to the main theme of the conference.

Day three started with concurrent sessions and wrapped up with a plenary session and Food & Music workshop, which featured students from INTI International College Subang, Chef’s from Cambodia, and Japan. Well done to all involved! It was another successful Food & Society International Conference… until Paris 2019!

Day two was a full day with four keynote presentations, one concurrent session, a food workshop by Chef Devagi Sanmugam, and the conference dinner - catered by the hospitality team from Sunway University.
