We are delighted to have successfully completed the “Core Leadership and People Management for New Managers” programme on 14–15 January 2026 at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, in partnership with UKM UNIPEQ.

It was a pleasure working with the managers from UKM Specialist Centre and UKM Holdings , a highly engaged and committed group who brought great energy, openness and thoughtful discussion throughout the sessions.

Goodbye 2025 — you were a great teacher (and sometimes a tough one 😄).

Some plans worked perfectly, some didn’t… and some turned into completely new opportunities in disguise.

As we step into 2026, I’m choosing to carry forward gratitude, resilience, and a curious mind.

I’m excited to take on new challenges, learn new things, and stretch myself a little further — even if it means stepping outside the comfort zone (again!).

Strong academic leadership is the backbone of a thriving university. It’s not just about managing faculties—it’s about setting direction, driving innovation, and ensuring graduates are ready for the future.

I’ve just completed a 2-day Strategic Planning training with middle-level leaders and senior academicians of UTHM under the ULead Program.

Together, we explored how leaders can:
1) Align faculty goals with the university’s vision
2) Translate strategic tools into actionable plans
3) Build collaborative cultures to face academic and industry challenges

The future of higher education depends on leaders who think strategically today.
