A throwback to the Introduction to ROS โ Face Recognition Workshop organised by UCSI University Robotics and AI Club.
The workshop was organised last week by our speaker, Hau Jian Teck from our club, he has provided some insights and tutorials on how to operate ROS, and how to construct face recognition.
To comply with the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) currently implemented in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor region, no physical events can be conducted at the university ground. Therefore, the event is restricted to an online platform. What is visual perception in computers or robots? It is to enable computers or robots to gain the ability to perceive their surroundings through visual signals. It is also a field gaining an upward trend for adoption in the industry. The objective of the workshop is to introduce visual perception in ROS to the students of UCSI University. Through the workshop, participants will have learnt the basics of visual perception ROS which will serve as the foundation for future projects and developments.
The workshop would not be successful with the help from RoboCup at Home Education for their free online classroom on ROS which serve as important reference for the preparation of the workshop, we truly appreciate it.
Here are some details about the event that was held last week:
