Over the years, I’ve had the joy (and challenge!) of working across many musical genres — from blues, rock, traditional pop, and adult contemporary, to country, neo soul, and R&B.
Each genre has its own voice, its own shape — and with every song, I try to meet the music where it lives, bringing my truest self to it.
But sometimes, it’s not about taking the lead.
Sometimes it’s about leaning in quietly… and offering something small, yet meaningful.
I was recently invited to be part of Gandhi – Mantras of Compassion, a global world music album by 3-time GRAMMY® winner Ricky Kej, featuring over 200 artists including Kailash Satyarthi, Tina Guo, and Masa Takumi.
My contribution was small — but the intention was big.
To be part of a project that honors peace, compassion, and unity through music was a reminder of why I do what I do.
