Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was the 3rd city EJS expanded to since June 2019.

Years later, it is always special to see jewellery making continuing to bring people together here — learning with their hands, creating something of their own, and discovering a skill they can carry with them for life.

A big thank you to Trainer Monica for continuing to share the joy of jewellery making with our Sabah community. Seeing the smiles, the creations and the pride when each piece is completed reminds us why we started EJS in the first place.

And now, we’re thrilled to be back in Kota Kinabalu this September for our next EJS MasterClass Foundation in Jewellery Making.

Our latest EJS Jewellery Making Experience in Johor Bahru brought together a wonderfully diverse group — each with her own personality, style and story.
But around the jewellery table, we found a common language: creating with our own hands.

From choosing the materials, learning the techniques and figuring things out along the way, to finally putting on something they made themselves — the smiles say it all.

Our 5th Jewellery Making Experience in Jakarta brought together ladies of different ages, backgrounds and walks of life.

We may arrive as strangers, but once our hands begin creating, there is suddenly something we all understand — the joy of making something with our own hands.

Our Hobby Workshop is for someone who wants to experience the joy of making jewellery with her own hands.

You learn to create a selected EJS design, guided step-by-step by our trainer, while experiencing our techniques, materials and finishing standards.
You come to learn a design, enjoy the experience and create something beautiful to take home.

💎 MASTERCLASS — LEARN JEWELLERY MAKING AS A SKILL

MasterClass is for someone who wants to go deeper.
Instead of learning only how to make one design, you learn the foundations and techniques behind jewellery making — knowledge and skills that can be applied to many different designs.

The goal is not simply to follow.
It is to build enough understanding and confidence to eventually create beyond what you were taught.
And no — you don't have to attend a Hobby Workshop before joining MasterClass.

THERE ARE MANY REASONS TO LEARN A NEW SKILL.

Congratulations to our two newest EJS MasterClass Foundation graduates in Jakarta — Derrin and Michelle! 🎓

People come to EJS MasterClass for different reasons.

Some are exploring the possibility of a new business.

Some are preparing for their next chapter.
Some simply want to turn their love for jewellery into real skills and knowledge.
Whatever the reason, we believe learning a skill is not only about what you can create today.
It is about what that skill may make possible tomorrow.

Through the EJS MasterClass Foundation, our students build their foundation in Stringing, Wire Work, Knotting and Weaving — skills they can continue developing long after the class is over.

And graduation is not where the journey ends.
We are here to walk the journey with them as they discover where their new skills can take them.

At EJS, we believe there is a place for both experience and education.

Sometimes, you simply want to experience the joy of making a beautiful piece of jewellery with your own hands.

That’s what our EJS Workshop is designed for.
But when you want to go beyond one design and truly understand the craft, you need something different.

You need a foundation.

EJS MasterClass Foundation is about learning the core techniques, understanding how they can be applied, and developing the confidence to create beyond what you were originally shown.

There’s always something special about bringing EJS back to Ipoh — the hometown of our founder, Angie.

Grateful to have EJS Trainer Shirley and Trainer Li Fen sharing their skills, patience and passion with our students, guiding each of them to create something they can proudly call their own.

And one creation certainly caught our eye — Alex’s Scarlet design, beautifully created in Red Agate.

A special part of our EJS Hong Kong Jewellery Making Workshop — meeting the woman behind EJS.

Our Founder, Angie, spent time meeting our Hong Kong participants, seeing their creations and personally celebrating their workshop experience with them.

At EJS, we believe jewellery making is more than learning a technique. It is about creating with your own hands, discovering what you are capable of, and connecting through a shared love for jewellery.

From Malaysia to Hong Kong, we are happy to see our EJS community continuing to grow.
