YonderKen Foundation, Together with the Yemeni Agency for International Development and Global Humanitarian Partners, Drives Forward Yemen’s Education Future

At the “Partners for Yemen 2025” conference, held on August 9–10, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, YonderKen Foundation and its partners highlighted the urgent need to rebuild and transform Yemen’s education sector.

The sessions shed light on the pressing barriers facing Yemeni students today:

📍 Severe shortage of financial and technological resources
📍 Thousands of schools damaged or destroyed by conflict
📍 Lack of trained and qualified teachers
📍 Transportation obstacles limiting student access
📍 Displacement and marginalization leading to loss of learning opportunities

💡 Key solutions discussed included:

◾️ Implementing modern Learning Management Systems (LMS) aligned with MOHEYE standards
◾️ Enabling nationwide teacher-student connectivity regardless of geography
◾️ Providing hands-on vocational training for disadvantaged youth
◾️ Offering affordable, customized learning models to reach more students
◾️ Strengthening monitoring and accountability to ensure transparency in education funding

📍 Our pledge to action:

◾️ Begin with training 30 displaced youth in practical, employable skills
◾️ Scale up gradually to empower thousands more students
◾️ Advocate for education as a national priority to combat brain drain and invest in Yemen’s future leaders

The conference echoed one clear message: education is not optional — it is Yemen’s hope and survival. Together, we must act to secure quality learning for every child.
