In honour of Earth Day, the children each made a globe luminary to leave a reminder of how precious our Earth is and how we should love it and care for it as best we can 🌏

They just won’t stop growing! 🍀

Sweet potato leaves which were sowed last year have been growing strong in our garden! The crèche children made themselves a sweet potato monster last Halloween and it was then sowed on ground. And this week, they harvested sweet potato leaves from the garden and served themselves stir fry vegetables for afternoon snack! What could be more hands on and based in reality than sowing and reaping living plants? 😉

Montessori programmes are all about consistency. A consistent schedule is important for the emotional well-being of students. Here is a peek at our students engaged in work cycle activity. Though we never stick to the exact same schedule each day, we definitely follow similar patterns.

Concentration is the cornerstone of learning. Dr. Maria Montessori understood this power and designed her methodology to nurture the skill of concentration by providing children with the time and space to work without interruption. A skill such as weaving improves fine motor skills and requires a lot of concentration. Our toddlers enjoyed being out in the sun today practicing their weaving skills with coconut leaves.

It was back to school for us at CDH Ampang! This morning, the kids headed to the outdoors and got creative with paint. When it comes to art, it is the process not the result that is important to the child. We had such an amazing day and we are so proud of them!
