Why do people say mummies are superheroes? Because they truly are. 💐

Over the years, we have witnessed mothers showering their children with unconditional love in countless ways — from the anxious emotions of a child’s very first school experience, to staying calm and brave as their little ones cry for mama at the door. We see the relief and joy when they finally settle in, and the constant care shown through every little concern — whether their child is eating well, learning confidently, playing happily with friends, showing kindness and gentleness towards others, listening attentively, or growing more independent in managing daily routines at school.

Mothers show up wholeheartedly. They participate, support, encourage, and seek answers whenever challenges arise. No one ever said motherhood is easy, but day after day, mothers continue to love fiercely, give selflessly, and stand strong for their children through every season of growth.

To all the amazing mummies, thank you for being the safe place, the biggest cheerleaders, and the everyday superheroes in your children’s lives.

Happy Mother’s Day! 💖

Little moments, meaningful learning—our way of celebrating Earth Day 💚🌍

We love setting up little small world play corners around our classroom, in line with our theme. As the children step in, they quickly spot the inviting setup—excitedly calling out words like “dinosaurs!”, “volcano!”, “flowers!” 🌋🦖🌸

Drawn in by curiosity, they begin to explore, create their own stories, and engage in imaginative play. Through these simple setups, they build language, develop social skills, and strengthen their creativity. Handling the mini figures and tools also supports fine motor development, while playing together encourages sharing, turn-taking, and collaboration—all while having so much fun learning through play. ✨

It was a truly meaningful and enriching sharing session with licensed counsellor and children’s author Rozy Khalid.

Navigating children’s big emotions and supporting them through these moments is no small task for any parent.

We are incredibly grateful to Rozy for generously sharing not only her professional expertise, but also her heartfelt experiences as a parent. Her insights offered both guidance and reassurance to families on this journey.

As a school, we are proud to create opportunities like this—serving as a bridge to support and empower parents in raising confident, emotionally resilient children.

A heartfelt thank you once again to Rozy Khalid for such an insightful and impactful session!

In celebration of Earth Day this week, we had the joy of exploring the wonderful recycled creations made by our children and their families through a fun and engaging Show and Tell session! 🌍✨ Each child proudly shared their masterpiece, sparking meaningful conversations about caring for our planet and the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.

It was truly heartwarming to see the creativity, confidence, and family involvement shine through. A beautiful reminder that even small actions can make a big difference for our Earth. 💚♻️

Happy Easter! 🐣🌸

We had a joyful week filled with egg-citing experiments, outdoor games, and creative Easter crafts. Our celebration ended with a magical egg hunt around Ayuria, guided by a mysterious map, leading to a cosy bunny story time with The Tale of Peter Rabbit.

The children went home happily with their handmade Easter baskets and treats—what a wonderful day of fun and memories! 🐰🥚✨

We’re looking forward to the new term as we dive into the wonderful story Dinosaur Roar! by Paul Stickland and Henrietta Stickland. It’s a lovely rhyming book with beautiful, realistic illustrations that introduces the concept of opposites in a fun and engaging way.

This term, we’ll be busy exploring all things dinosaurs through exciting, hands-on activities that spark curiosity, creativity, and imagination. From roaring adventures to sensory play and creative crafts, there’s so much to look forward to—and much more along the way! 🦖✨

It’s wonderful that our children have the opportunity to practice mindfulness during yoga class with Teacher On SHU Kid's YOGA. These calming moments help them learn to pause, breathe, and connect with their bodies and feelings.
