DSH Institute of Technology Education In 1990, with the approval from the Malaysian Nursing Board, DIT was registered as an Institute of Higher Education.

DSH Institute of Technology (DIT) began as a department registered under the license of Damai Service Hospital (HQ), which is a private hospital in Jalan Ipoh that was established in 1981. With more than 23 years of experience handling the Assistant Nurse Certificate Program, DIT has produced more than 300 graduates, which have found employment both locally and internationally. Passing rate for the Nursing Board Malaysia Registration Examination has been high at 100%. In 2013/14 DIT undertook the challenge to become a reputable independent provider of tertiary education in Malaysia, producing graduates who meet the needs of initially the healthcare and subsequently other industries. It began with the move to new premises at Platinum Walk in Kuala Lumpur, and has taken off with the development of many allied health science programmes.

DIT NEWS | OFFICIAL VISIT BY JABATAN PEMBANGUNAN KEMAHIRAN (JPK)

Strengthening TVET Excellence, Empowering Future Professionals.

DSH Institute of Technology (DIT) was honoured to welcome representatives from the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) on 8 October 2026 for an official visit concerning the amendment of training capacity for the Pest Services Operation (SKM Level 3) programme.

The visit involved a review of training facilities and constructive discussions on programme implementation requirements, reflecting DIT’s continuous commitment to enhancing the quality of skills-based education and strengthening Malaysia’s TVET ecosystem.

We sincerely appreciate the time, insights and professional engagement shared by the JPK representatives throughout the visit.

🩺 Learning beyond the classroom, where knowledge becomes awareness.

Students from the Diploma in Medical & Health Science (MHS) brought their learning to life through the Control & Prevention of Infectious Diseases Exhibition, transforming important health topics into an interactive and engaging learning experience.

From practical demonstrations and health information booths to educational displays and interactive activities, our MHS students explored essential areas including hand hygiene, mask wearing, vaccination, food safety, signs and symptoms, and infectious disease prevention.

More than just an academic activity, this exhibition gave students the opportunity to learn, create, share and educate, while strengthening their understanding of how preventive health practices can contribute to healthier and safer communities. 💙

Empowering future leaders beyond the classroom. 💙

Three representatives from the DIT Student Representative Council (Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar) proudly represented DSH Institute of Technology at the LEADX 2.0 Symposium 2026, held at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) on 26–27 September 2026.

Organised by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), the symposium brought together 400+ students from 54 private higher education institutions, creating a national platform for young leaders to connect, exchange perspectives and strengthen their leadership experience.

For DIT, opportunities like this are an important part of developing students beyond academic learning, giving our future leaders the confidence and exposure to engage alongside their peers from higher education institutions across Malaysia. 🇲🇾

🩺 FROM CLASSROOM KNOWLEDGE TO CLINICAL COMPETENCE

A glimpse into the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for our Diploma in Nursing students, an important component of the programme designed to assess students’ practical skills, clinical knowledge, communication and readiness for real healthcare environments.

At DSH Institute of Technology (DIT), nursing education goes beyond textbooks. Students develop their clinical competencies through structured practical training in our nursing laboratories, with teaching and laboratory practices conducted in accordance with the requirements and guidelines of the Malaysian Nursing Board (Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia) and the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM).

Throughout their learning journey, students are guided by our experienced nursing lecturers and Clinical Instructors, who bring valuable academic and clinical experience into every practical session.

Every procedure practised, every skill assessed and every OSCE completed is another step towards developing competent, confident and professional future nurses. 🏥💙

Taking industry exposure beyond the classroom and towards a broader international-level environment.

DSH Institute of Technology (DIT) recently visited Rentokil Initial for an industry engagement and discussion focused on exploring potential practicum opportunities specifically for students from SKM Level 3 Pest Service Operation and the Diploma in Environmental Health.

Through this engagement, DIT aims to broaden students’ practical exposure by exploring opportunities for them to experience real-world professional practices within an established international corporate environment. This is part of DIT’s continuous effort to strengthen the connection between classroom learning, practical training and current industry practices.

At DIT, we believe meaningful education extends beyond the classroom. By continuously engaging with industry, we strive to give our students wider perspectives and experiences that can better prepare them for their future careers. 💙🌏

Her lifetime of service, compassion and dedication to the wellbeing of the people will be remembered with profound respect. Her contributions have left a meaningful legacy for generations of Malaysians. 🇲🇾

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.
