Researchers in Brunei have created a Kedayan Ecological Calendar. Indigenous calendars are not mere instruments to determine time, but for local communities help to map out animal, plant and weather cycles.
Like our Baram Heritage Survey, the codifying of traditional ecological knowledge helps to build resilience and contributes to adaptive natural resource management. š
