Our 6-year-old children from IVEY Desa ParkCity recently enjoyed a hiking adventure with their parents, creating meaningful moments of exploration and connection in nature.

Beyond the trail, what made this experience truly special was seeing our IVEY Family come together in a different way.

Parents had the opportunity to connect beyond the usual drop-off and pick-up moments, sharing conversations, building friendships, and becoming part of a stronger community.

Our children, as always, were excited to explore beyond the classroom. Some stayed close to their parents, some explored with their best friends, and all enjoyed having their loved ones by their side.

These are the moments we treasure, where togetherness and openness grow. Because when we come together, we create a community where every child and family feels they belong.

Last Friday, the petting zoo visited IVEY Bangsar South, bringing moments of curiosity and wonder to our children.

They chased bunnies across the grass, offering them food and hoping for connection. Some showed courage as they held a snake, while others observed from a distance, navigating excitement and fear.

In these interactions, we gently observe their growing understanding that living beings have their own ways of responding and existing.

A small but meaningful exploration of curiosity, courage, and respect.

The Super Junior Investigators class from Desa Parkcity and Bangsar South branch went on a field trip to Pos Malaysia Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur City Centre yesterday, where they were introduced to the world of mailing - past and present.

Through this experience, the children explored how letters travel from one place to another. They wrote their own postcards, learned how postal staff sort mail using postcodes, and even had the chance to post their very own cards to be delivered back to IVEY.

The visit also included a playful twist, with a giant Pos Malaysia puzzle that challenged their thinking while reinforcing what they observed.

Beyond the learning, it was a joyful day of shared experiences, riding the bus together, exploring a new environment, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

We now look forward to a special moment in the days ahead… when their postcards arrive.

There is a kind of care that doesn’t get talked about enough.

It arrives before the children do. In the way a classroom is arranged. In the sand that’s been smoothed over. In the chairs that are set just so.

We chose this because working with children is a calling. That care is why we prepare, why we plan, why we pour intention into every corner of this space.
But all of that intention only truly comes alive when they walk in.

We build the space. They complete it.

So to every parent who trusts us with their child, know that your child doesn’t just come to school. They make it whole.

When we think about ‘environment’, it is easy to imagine something ideal or perfectly designed. But in reality, most homes are simply doing their best within their own circumstances.

Still, every home teaches something. In the noise, in the routines, in the quiet moments, and even in the imperfect days.

So perhaps the reflection is not about creating a perfect environment, but becoming more aware of what our children are already learning from the world they are growing up in.

When we become aware, it’s the first step toward creating the environment our children deserve.

Children have a way of seeing us that no one else can.

This Father’s Day, our little ones tells us their adorable thoughts about their dads.

Their answers made us smile, laugh, and maybe even tear up a little.

Because behind every simple answer is a child who feels deeply loved.

Happy Father’s Day to the fathers who are making memories, shaping hearts, and becoming their children’s favourite stories.
