Generating the True Hope Mahallah as-Siddiq is the 6th Male Residential College established in IIUM Gombak Campus in 1997.

With an approximate area of 6.5 acres, Mahallah as-Siddiq has 7 residential blocks, including a block for postgraduates, and a central block that can cater up to 940 residents at one time. As-Siddiq was named by IIUM after the 6th Residential College of IIUM Gombak Campus to commemorate Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq RA (573-674 AD), the first Rashidun Caliph, his towering personality and his brilliant deeds to Islam and the Muslim Ummah.
