This is the place to learn the beautiful art of Capoeira. Classes start from age 4. Our Casa has flourished into a haven of growth and camaraderie.

Casa do Capoeira, owned by Professor Rafael and Marissa, is home to Movimento Simples de Capoeira (MSC). Since 2004, the rhythmic echoes of Brazil found their way to the heart of Malaysia, as Rafael, from Brazil, embarked on a journey to share the enchanting art of capoeira. In Portuguese, jogo means “game”, but in Capoeira, it’s so much more than that. It’s a conversation without words.

Two players move together in constant motion, each reading the other’s intentions and responding in the moment. It’s less about landing a kick and more about timing, creativity and strategy.

The best jogos aren’t won by force, but by intelligence, rhythm and the ability to outthink the other player.

This is the beauty of Capoeira: every game tells a different story.

Our recent internal BJJ competition with Caboco Malaysia gave our students the chance to experience what stepping onto the mats for a competition feels like, in a familiar and supportive environment.

They experienced rolling with other students, what a competition atmosphere is like, feeling those pre-match nerves, and learning to show respect whether they won or lost. Most importantly, they had fun and enjoyed the experience.

Competitions aren’t just about collecting medals.

They build courage, sportsmanship and the confidence to step outside your comfort zone. Every student walked away with something valuable, and that’s what we’re most proud of.

BJJ classes are currently available exclusively to our Movimento Simples de Capoeira students, from ages 6 and above. It’s another way for our students to develop confidence, discipline and practical grappling skills alongside their Capoeira journey.

An incredible achievement by Izz, earning his place on our Wall of Fame!

Just as inspiring was the support and encouragement from his classmates.

At Movimento Simples de Capoeira, we believe that building a strong community is every bit as important as individual achievement.

The cartwheels, handstands and acrobatics might catch your eye. But what we’re really building is confidence, courage, persistence and connection.

One movement at a time.
One child at a time.
