Formed in April 2003 by Malaysian choral conductor and pedagogue Susanna Saw, who remains its Artistic Director, The Kuala Lumpur Children’s Choir consists of over 120 young singers aged between 6 and 15.From its home at the Young Choral Academy (YCA), the nation’s first academy for the training of choirs and a centre for choral education, the primary philosophy of the choir is to introduce choral

singing as a healthy curriculum in a fun and relaxed environment based onthe Kodaly Method of teaching.These young singers are nurtured and encouraged in the hope that their abilities will be recognized, which will in turn lead to the raising of standards of choral singing in Malaysia.

The Concert Choir from The Kuala Lumpur Children's Choir along with some from Gaudeamus Youth Chamber Choir and our teachers are back from the trip to Chengdu with good memories and experiences!

They performed as a Guest Choir at the Pandas Singing Event in conjunction with Chengdu International Children’s Chorus Week 2025.

Thank you to all teachers, parents and children who supported this trip.
