Applications for FSTEP Batch 31 are still open!

Whether you are a fresh graduate or already in the early years of your career, FSTEP provides an opportunity to build the knowledge, skills and industry exposure needed to progress in Malaysia’s financial services industry.

The programme combines 3 months of structured classroom training with 9 months of on-the-job training at participating banks and insurance companies, with a minimum monthly allowance of RM2,600 throughout the programme.

You may be eligible if you are a Malaysian aged 30 and below, with a recognised degree or professional qualification and no more than 3 years of working experience.

📚 Training starts: 28 September 2026
Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis, so apply early.

The FSTEP Journey Doesn't End at Graduation

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome our FSTEP Alumni & Community to the Leadership on the Edge Forum 2026, jointly organised by Asian Banking School (ABS) and Coaching Culture International (CCI).

The forum brought together distinguished business leaders and industry experts to share perspectives on navigating uncertainty, leading through change and building resilient organisations. Beyond the insightful discussions, it was a wonderful opportunity for our alumni to reconnect, exchange ideas and strengthen relationships across the financial services industry.

The forum also marked our third FSTEP Alumni & Community engagement event of 2026, following the success of Play. Sip. Connect. and Bowl in the Glow. Each event is designed with a different purpose, but all share the same goal—to bring our alumni and community together through meaningful experiences that foster professional growth, collaboration and lasting connections.

A heartfelt thank you to all our alumni, industry partners, university partners and trainers who joined us. Your enthusiasm and continued support are what make the FSTEP community such a strong and vibrant network.

We look forward to creating many more opportunities for our alumni and community to connect, exchange ideas and grow together.

🎳 What a fantastic evening at our FSTEP Alumni Mini Event – Bowl in the Glow last Friday!

It was wonderful to see FSTEP Alumni from across different cohorts come together for an evening of friendly competition, meaningful conversations and valuable networking. The event was a great opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, strengthen friendships and build new professional connections within the FSTEP community.

Since the first FSTEP cohort graduated in 2007, our alumni network has continued to grow and thrive. Through our alumni engagement initiatives, we remain committed to fostering lifelong learning, strengthening professional relationships and keeping our alumni community connected.

Ready to kick-start your career in Malaysia's financial services industry?

The Financial Sector Talent Enrichment Programme (FSTEP) is now accepting applications for Batch 31. FSTEP is a graduate development programme designed to equip fresh graduates with the knowledge, skills and practical experience needed for a successful career in the financial services industry.

Programme Highlights:
✔ Minimum monthly allowance of RM2,600
✔ 3 months of classroom training
✔ 9 months of on-the-job training with participating financial institutions
✔ Industry-relevant learning delivered by experienced practitioners
✔ Opportunity to build a professional network within the financial services industry
