What will it take for Southeast Asia to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals?

At yesterday’s UCSI International Institute of Science Diplomacy and Sustainability (UCSI-IISDS) Lecture Series, Distinguished Prof Dato’ Dr Rajah Rasiah led an engaging conversation on the region’s progress, challenges and opportunities in realising the 17 SDGs.

From poverty and education to clean energy, climate action and peace, the session explored the issues shaping a more equitable and sustainable future for Southeast Asia. Participants also considered how AI and digitalisation can help turn ambition into meaningful action.

Thank you to Prof Rajah and everyone who joined us in advancing the conversation on sustainable development.

🌟🎓 Inspiring Young Minds, Shaping Tomorrow!

UCSI University proudly hosted the SPM History Motivation Camp & Excellence Workshop 2026, welcoming over 280 bright students from seven schools across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. 🎉📚

The programme featured an empowering seminar on Smart Techniques to Master and Memorise History, conducted by Cikgu Fir, a History subject expert. Students were also introduced to UCSI University—ranked in the world's top 1% of universities for the fifth consecutive year in the QS World University Rankings 2027, and gained inspiring insights into scholarships and financial aid opportunities for future achievers.

Through the eye-opening Faculty Experiential Workshops and Campus Tour, the students experienced a real taste of university life while exploring different fields of study and future educational pathways. 🎓✨

We believe every student carries a spark of greatness. Through this programme, may that spark grow into a fire of knowledge, confidence and success as you prepare for SPM and beyond! 🚀💪

💻✨ EMPOWERING FUTURE TECH TALENTS @ UCSI UNIVERSITY 🎓🚀

Over 600 SPM candidates from 33 schools across KL, 59 teachers, and representatives from the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Education Department (JPWPKL) attended the Bengkel Teknik Menjawab Mata Pelajaran Sains Komputer WPKL 2026 on campus last week.

In collaboration with JPWPKL, students received expert guidance to boost their confidence in preparation for their big day. They also enjoyed a campus tour, offering a glimpse into university life and the exciting possibilities ahead while discovering scholarship opportunities and future study pathways at UCSI! 🏫✨

A special thank you to JPWPKL Learning Sector (Information and Communication Technology Unit) senior principal asst director Dr Siti Faizah Said for joining us and inspiring these young minds.
