🇩🇪🇲🇾 A meaningful exchange under H.E. Ambassador Silke Riecken-Daerr, German Ambassador to Malaysia, together with Dr. Ingo Schöningh, Director of Goethe‑Institut Malaysia, visited Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) . They were warmly received by Prof. Dr. Poline Bala, Director of the Institute of Borneo Studies (IBS), who shared insights into IBS research and project developments, including the upcoming Rites of the Hunt initiative with Goethe-Institut Malaysia.
The visit opened discussions on future research collaborations and exchange programmes between German partners and IBS — strengthening academic and cultural ties.
Ambassador Riecken-Daerr and Dr. Schöningh also visited Borneo Cultures Museum , where they were hosted by Ms. Yasmin Khalid Nicholls, the Deputy Director, received a guided tour, and participated in a presentation ceremony.

STINK OF FLESH FOLDS.
The Vienna Opera Ball is as much a part of Vienna as mortar is to the construction magnate Richard Lugner, who died in 2024. For decades, he had himself accompanied to this major social event by female celebrities, a move that garnered significant media attention. Stefanie Sargnagel has written a wildly satirical take on her "visit to the upper crust." Check it out here https://www.goethe.de/prj/ger/de/ihr/bks/27263882.html or in our link in bio!
