EGT, MJIIT, Utm-Kl

Prof. Masahiro Takagi (JAIST) presented a talk on Membrane Dynamics and Signal Transduction to EGT/CPM members especially to ChECA Lab's members on 2nd February 2018 at Language Lab.

The first batch of Chemical Process Engineering students from Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology will receive their degree during UTM convocation on 28-29 October 2017. The programme is EAC accredited by BEM on 21 August 2017 for a period of 3 years. Kudos to the staff and students of CPE and EGT for your hard work and commitment. CONGRATULATIONS!! Yesterday, 18 May2017, I joined the 3rd Meeting of MJIIT Alumni of Japan at Meiji University. Prof. Sugiura also joined.

A sad news yesterday; a former colleague of EGT at MJIIT, Dr Mahyudin Abdul Rachman had passed away. We hope his soul be piece in jannar.

There was an EGT faculty meeting on 30th April 2015 at Meeting room 3. After the meeting we took photos.

There was the Dialog with Students of MJIIT on yesterday, 12th March 2015. For CPE students, it was held at Dewan Seminar, Menara Razak. Almost all EGT academic staffs attended and discussed with CPE students. Finally, each teacher discussed with his/her students.

CPE students visit Kualiti Alam Sdn. Bhd. on 30th April 2014.


The first year students of EGT visited Kualiti Alam's Waste Management Cetnre in Seremban.

Twenty eight students of MJIIT-EGT, UTM made their first factory visit to the hazardous waste management factory on 30 April, 2014. The group was led by Prof. Ezzat Chan and four lecturers of EGT.

The engineer Mr Abdul Halim of Kualiti Alam gave an overall presentation of the scheduled waste management system of Malaysia, organization of the company and their facilities. After the presentation, the students askedMr Abdul Halim a lot of questions from various points of view (they have to prepare and submit a report on the visit !).

After the presentation, the students toured the factory on the bus.

It was the first visit of the kind for the students and it was a great experience for them. More factory visits will be planned to give the students more opportunities to experience the actual operations in the realm of chemical/environmental engineering facilities. (mg)

On 12th February 2014, there was a one day Joint Workshop between Kyushu University and MJIIT (Mainly EGT Department) about Green Sustainable Society at Dewan Jumaah, UTM KL. There were three invited talks and ten postgraduate students' presentations from both sides.

The morning of the next day, preparations for presentations have been done by individual groups (5). Each group presented as shown in the photos. Finely, they were evaluated by the presentations and the performances of the field research.
Students were safely come back to KSJ almost on time by Bus. Anyway we appreciate to Prof. Dato Dr. Wahid and his Lab's students for their hospitality about this event. And also to MJIIT members.

After real observation of individual Lichen on the Royal Palm trees at different places, CPE students listen the lecture about Lichen from Prof. Dato Dr Wahid, UKM.

CPE Students did the Field Trip to UKM, Bangi, on 07-08 December 2013. Students learned about Lichen from Prof. Dato Dr Wahid and his Lab's members.

There was a meeting between JICA consultants and EGT staffs about new laboratories of EGT on 14 Nov. 2013.
