Acting Through Duologues

Sunday 9th March
ages 18+ beginners welcome

This three-hour workshop will touch on script analysis and acting using the Stanislavsky Technique.

Participants will learn to perform a duologue with clear Objectives, being able to identify the character’s Given Circumstances & Super Objective through guided script analysis.

About the Facilitator
Lok Shi Hoong - Actor, Director & Playwright

Shi Hoong has a BA in Acting from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London and 10 years of experience in the industry.
Writer and Director of the successful, satirical production, Sucks To Dream starring actors, Alfred Loh and Charles Roberts.

Announcing the Drama Teaching Workshop 2025

The topic of the day is: Integrating All The Drama Options from the Trinity College London syllabuses.

An exclusive workshop for drama teachers of centres and schools, engaging with the Trinity College London Drama syllabuses. Exclusively for those teachers who wish to explore options for CCAs, ECAs, weekend classes or holiday programmes in an active & engaging workshop environment.

We all want the best options for our learners. We’ll be answering the question: How can I teach Drama & Speech, Acting Skills, Shakespeare, Performing Arts & Musical Theatre in one class and how do I manage solo, pairs and groups all in one session?

With Guest Speaker: U-Jin Lim, National Manager at Trinity College London, Malaysia

Facilitated by Amina Jindani (Moone), an award-wining arts educator with a Licentiate in teaching Drama from Trinity College London (L.T.C.L). A former Head of Department at an international school, her many years of drama teaching & facilitating have given her unique insights into the craft for all ages & objectives. She is a practitioner in the industry & an adjudicator for festivals with her stage, film & TV experience.

Come join MoOne Drama classes on Saturdays in TTDI. ✨🎭

This class is for ages 12+ and we will look at Trinity’s Intermediate and Advanced grades. You will be guided towards a solo exam (optional to take) in Acting Skills, Drama & Speech, Musical Theatre and / or Performing Arts.

For those who are accomplished in a skill such as rap, playing an instrument, singing or dance, you will be able to incorporate those skills into your presentation. Acting monologues, poetry, prose and speech will be taught to enhance your repertoire and you have the option to utilize these skills into your final presentation.

We will have a limited number of students in order to accommodate so many individual pieces in our classes and you will be able to offer constructive feedback for each other’s performance pieces.

Usually, it takes 2- 3 terms to become ready for an exam, during which you will see your growth and the refinement of each other’s skills. 📈🤩
