🌱【Parent Testimonial – A Remarkable One-Week Transformation】🌱

Just one week into lessons, a mother shared something unexpected: her daughter — who had never shown interest in reading before — suddenly began trying to read signs and labels around her, including at a convenience store. Even more surprising, she started attempting to read text messages on her mother’s phone.

What changed?

Under Teacher Hui Xin’s guidance, the student was introduced to a suitable method — one that met her where she was, respected her learning pace, and made her feel safe and understood. In that kind of environment, children are more likely to open up, take risks, and discover what they’re capable of. That’s when real transformation begins.

🌿【讲座回顾｜“允许不完美，也是一种爱”】
📍由 Dexin Children 联合 Satir Whole Person Development Association of Malaysia 马来西亚萨提尔全人发展协会

星期五晚上，我们邀请台湾讲师、萨提尔模式实践者——罗志仲老师，和我们一起聊一聊：

在长期陪伴特殊孩子的过程中，
我们有没有忘了，老师和家长的心灵，也需要好好被照顾？

这是一场没有任何教学技巧的讲座，
却为我们带来一次很深的内在整理。
我们谈的，是期待——
来自对别人的、来自他人的、我们对自己的。

我们往往在不知不觉中，
扛起“我要救孩子”“我要让他改变”的压力，
却忘了，有些期待，其实已经超出了孩子的能力。
也忽略了，我们自己也是人，也有情绪，也会累。

老师也带领大家做了一段静心练习，
邀请我们轻轻放下“父母”“老师”的身份，
回到内在，看看自己现在好不好。

🌼 我们想说的是：
能好好照顾自己、接纳自己的老师和家长，
才有能力教会孩子照顾自己，接纳自己。

我们也相信：
人们因相同而有所连结，
也因相异而有所成长。

愿这份温柔的觉察，继续在我们之间流动💛

那天我放下了，孩子也终于松了一口气。

这是我，作为一名陪伴星儿的老师，想说的一段话——
说给每一位努力、却常常觉得“还不够好”的父母听。

这些声音，我懂。
但在陪伴的这条路上，我们是否忘了：

She may struggle with reading, but her eyes see details many of us miss.

This drawing was inspired by the 3 teddy bears in our classroom — and she captured them beautifully, down to the tiniest shading.
It’s easy to judge a child by what they can’t do. But if we only look at grades, we miss the bigger picture.

Let’s not measure a child’s worth by just one skill. Every child has a light — we just need to see it from the right angle. 🌟
