On 25 February, Stella Maris Ampang came alive in a sea of red and gold as we celebrated Chinese New Year! The school was beautifully adorned with festive lanterns and vibrant decorations, setting the perfect mood for a joyful celebration.

The highlight of the morning? An electrifying lion dance performance by our talented Year 6 boys that had everyone cheering! 🦁🔥

From Year 1 to Year 6, our students lit up the stage with delightful dance performances featuring colourful ribbons and tambourines, filling the air with excitement and festive cheer. 💃

The celebration ended on a high note with a wonderful band performance, showcasing the violin, recorder, glockenspiel, and keyboard, a truly harmonious finale! 🎻🎶

It was more than just a celebration, it was a beautiful display of culture, creativity, teamwork, and school spirit. ❤️ What a memorable way to welcome the new year together!

We are immensely proud of our 114 Year 11 students for their dedication, resilience, and outstanding achievements in the 𝗜𝗚𝗖𝗦𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. This cohort rose to every challenge, with 59% of students attaining five or more A/A*, reflecting both academic excellence and personal commitment. These results are a testament to the students’ hard work and determination, as well as the unwavering dedication of our teachers and parents, whose guidance, encouragement, and belief in every learner made this success possible.

As our students step beyond Secondary school and into the next chapter of their lives, we wish them every happiness and success in all that lies ahead. May they follow their passions with confidence, embrace new opportunities with courage, and continue to grow into compassionate, resilient individuals. Wherever their journeys take them, they will always remain a valued part of our school community, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of them.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴's students had a fantastic time at the 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁, 𝗘𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁! 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 held at the Sports Centre on 21 January 2026! Organised by 𝗚𝗼𝗴𝗼𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝘅 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 and coordinated by SMIS's Student Health Officer, Ms Lee Eve Ling, the workshop brought learning to life in a fun and engaging way.

Through interactive activities and educational card games, students explored healthy eating habits, balanced meals, portion control, and basic nutrition including carbohydrates, proteins, fruits, and vegetables. Excitement filled the room as enthusiastic participants walked away with prizes! 🎁

Students who missed the basic health screening are encouraged to visit any 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗶𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘆 branch for health screening and additional guidance on making healthy food choices. A big thank you to 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐢𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐲, 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲, 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, and 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐤𝐨 for their generous support in making this experience both fun and educational! 👏

On 19 January 2026, 𝗦𝗲𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀, Kuala Lumpur (Pudu) proudly held the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 to officially appoint our newly elected prefects.

The meaningful ceremony highlighted values of leadership, discipline, integrity, and service, as our prefects took their oath to lead by example and serve the school community with dedication.

Our 2026 academic year began on a joyful note with the Form 1 Orientation held on 9 January 2026. From a warm welcome by our Principal to campus tours, briefings, and meaningful interactions, it was a morning filled with excitement, smiles, and new beginnings.

On 15 December, Stella Maris Ampang was filled with festive cheer as students, teachers, and staff came together for a magical Christmas Presentation during the school assembly! The school hall sparkled with beautiful Christmas decorations, creating the perfect backdrop for a joyful celebration.

The event kicked off with a special opening act featuring Santa Claus arriving in a festive sleigh, setting the stage for an afternoon full of excitement. Our talented Bible Knowledge students wowed the audience with enchanting dance performances and a heartwarming nativity play, spreading the true spirit of Christmas.

The festivities continued with a lively sing-along of classic Christmas jingles, filling the hall with laughter, cheer, and holiday spirit. The highlight of the celebration? Santa Claus himself made a surprise visit, delighting the students with gifts and creating unforgettable memories.
