🇶🇦🇴🇲 Hockey Development Meeting – Doha, Qatar

Under the supervision of the Asian Hockey Federation, a significant Hockey Development Meeting was held on 12 May 2026 in Doha, Qatar.

The meeting brought together
Dr. Marwan Juma Al Juma,
Mr. Hammad Saeed Al Sahoti, and
Mr. Waqas Liaqat Butt.

Discussions focused on strengthening hockey development in Qatar and Oman, expanding the game across the region, and enhancing collaboration between the two national federations.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to build stronger cooperation and implement future initiatives to further elevate hockey across Asian Hockey Federation member nations.

Chinese Taipei Level C Umpiring Course Successfully Completed

The three-day Chinese Taipei Level C Umpiring Empowerment Course, held at Bashan High School, has been successfully completed.

Special thanks to the outstanding panel of lecturers — Cheng Limin, Shi Shuxing, Wu, Chen Lianxing, and Chen Jinying — for their valuable contributions throughout the course. Through intensive sessions covering rules interpretation, psychological preparation, and physical application, the lecturers provided participants with a strong and comprehensive foundation in umpiring.

Congratulations to all participants on successfully completing the course, and best wishes for their future development in hockey officiating.

The partnership between Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (KHM) over the past two years has continued to grow with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Sponsorship between TNB and KHM for the years 2026 to 2030.
The ceremony to sign the sponsorship contract was completed by KHM President, Dato' Sri Subahan Kamal together with TNB President/Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ir. Ts. Shamsul Ahmad, was held at the Leo Moggie Convention Centre (LMCC), Bangsar.
The symbolic strategic collaboration for the future of national hockey between TNB and KHM was witnessed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, YB. Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari and TNB Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Razak Abdul Majid.
The KHM Top Leadership takes this opportunity to express their appreciation and gratitude to TNB for its continued commitment in addition to playing a major role in strengthening the development of national hockey for almost two decades.
The many successes and development of national hockey talent today cannot be separated from TNB's consistent support for the Malaysian hockey ecosystem.

The FIH–AHF Level 2 Coaching Course is being conducted in Oman from 14 to 18 May 2026 as part of the continued commitment to coach education and hockey development in Asia.

The course is led by Ghazanfer Ali, FIH Educator, who is guiding participants through advanced coaching principles, modern training methods, and player development strategies.

The programme provides coaches with valuable knowledge and practical learning opportunities to further enhance coaching standards and support the growth of hockey in the region.

Territory Stingers found a touch of victory again in the TNB Hockey League Malaysia (TNBMHL) Women rival after defeating Terengganu 2-1 in action ongoing at the National Hockey Stadium, Bukit Jalil, last night.
After going through two straight defeats, the Territory Stingers performed with a different spirit as they displayed more organized and disciplined action to ensure the precious three points were theirs.
The team first opened the scoring curtain in the first half to take a 1-0 lead, immediately putting initial pressure on Terengganu who are trying to find the rhythm of the game.
Going into the third quarter, the Territory Stingers continued to refine their attack and managed to add another goal to expand the lead to 2-0, putting them in a comfortable position to hunt for victory.
