- Let’s Learn with Jeff Yong -

Don't have a clear direction in life?

Jeff's story is going to inspire you and help you move forward.

At school, Jeff was never one of the top scorers. However, he knew what he wanted in life, very early on.

Jeff’s dream to be a business owner started at the young age of 9. However, the journey from helping his mum at her hair saloon, to now being a multiple award-winning business owner, was never easy.

His most notable business role being the CEO & Founder of HAIRDEPOT, one of Malaysia’s leading hair and scalp care retail chains with more than 30 outlets located in Malaysia.

“Change” & “Perseverance” are the 2 keywords that Jeff holds dear to his heart, and he believes everyone should have these values in mind as early in life as possible.

Here are quick sharing of lessons we learned from Jeff:
1. Travel around the world to change your views on life.
2. Take the time to find out your objectives in life.
3. Being alive itself is our most important and biggest win.
4. Most people take for granted little things in their lives. Learn to appreciate small wins too.
5. A career is not a destination, but a process.
6. Always prepare your next goal (after you hit your current goal).
7. The moment you give up on yourself, you’ve already died inside.
8. There’s no lack of smart people in this world, only people who can execute and persevere on their dreams.
9. The fastest way to be grow bigger is to solve more problems.
10. Your capability comes from the problems that you’ve solved.
11. No one can conclude that you’ve lost, until you give up on yourself.
12. Whenever you feel like giving up, ask yourself, “Why did I start in the first place?”
13. Most events are neutral. We get to choose to label them either as positive or negative.
14. Be very aware of yourself when you start becoming negative, and switch your thoughts immediately.
15. Sharing negativity on social media doesn’t help anyone at all.
16. The hardest thing to change is ourselves. It’s the easiest too.

There might be just one GOLDEN LESSON that you get from this, that can change your life forever.

Reading is one of my favourite me-time activities.

Not only I get to learn about the world through other people’s sharing, I also get to improve myself as a person too.

And I do it during my quiet times.

What’s your favorite me-time? Share with me in the comments below.

Our parents and close friends love us.

But, is that the one reason you should listen and follow to ALL their advice?

To be successful, listen to successful people. To be happy, listen to happy people. Same philosophy applies when it comes to most advice.

Who would be the person you would like to learn from the most?

Comment below and let us know, even better, tag him/her!

Found this super cute wall in one random bakery shop, and find it something worth sharing.

Imagine life being a game, with different levels and each next level has bigger challenges and at the same time bigger rewards.

Most people are stuck playing at the same level, complaining about the same old problems for their entire life.

Winners know that in order to go to the next level, we need to grow in person and play the game at a different level.

In other words, WE need to level up and tackle bigger challenges. And it’s a matter of choice.

Are you going to up your level and play at a bigger level in your life? Comment “YES” below if you do.

Much Love ♥️

Public speaking is not fearful, when your focus is not on how well you speak, but what message & value will your audiences get.

That’s when techniques becomes second, and your heart becomes first.

From a Penang boy, to staying in Japan for 6 years, to a Freelance Japanese translator, to now the CEO & Founder of one of the biggest translation service provider in Malaysia, Translife - Interpretation & Translation Agency in Malaysia

Here are just some of the things we learned from Aery:

4. Have a clear understanding of why you do something, before you do it.

Today a dear friend passed away...

A great person, whom I truly respect.

He left with great projects and ideas that hasn’t been fully completed.

Huge goals that have not been achieved.

Besides feeling for his death, it also reminded me of how fragile and precious one’s life is.

Truth is, we’ll never know when would be our last year, or even our last day.

When we live life with that perspective, a lot of short term setbacks, negative emotions, fears, arguments, failures, obstacles, suddenly don’t matter as much anymore.

Because in the end, you’ll realise those aren’t the most important things.

You would set your goals differently. Live your life differently. And treat the people in your life differently.

So, my questions to you is, if this is your last year on planet earth, what would you do differently? Comment below.

Much Love ♥️
Caleb

Through our interview yesterday with one of our guests in Let’s Learn, he said, “Failure is a part of Success, there’s only Success and Mediocre”

We couldn’t agree more, because a lot of our guests said that they learn more about Success when they fail, which totally contradicts to how we are brought up in our education or family.

Failing is literally the shortcut to be successfully, so be bold and courageous enough to make mistake.

You’ll never what new skills would you acquired.

If there’s one skill you can learn, what would that be?
