As 2024 comes to an end, I realised that this year I have been very quiet on social media regarding my babywearing works. So I am very grateful to the good people at Bloom and Grow Asia (Malaysia) for keeping me in mind and invited me to work with them for their recent Ergobaby x Pilates event.

I am still very much passionate about sharing my knowledge as a babywearing consultant. However, to sustain my passion as a business has been challenging. In fact, this year I had to return to full time employment.

Having said that, I have not stopped sharing. Sometimes I shared some safety and fitting tips to parents on my days out especially if I spot any unsafe babywearing practice e.g., carrying a newborn or small baby in a loosely tightened carrier or in front facing position i.e., risk of obstructed breathing. Safe babywearing is important to me because I can advocate on behalf of these babies with my knowledge.

May 2025 brings opportunities for me to share the joy of safe babywearing!

Happy Mother’s Day to moms everywhere! 💐💗

Looking back to the early days of my motherhood journey, I’m really glad that babywearing worked for me. I feel very grateful that I gained the knowledge and experience even though babywearing was not passed down to me through my family. Yes, babywearing has been part of our human culture for ages; I believe all my great-great-great grandmas must have feel the same way about babywearing as I do. 💞

Happy International Women’s Day 💐

It had been lovely to work with the staffs from Bloom & Grow and with the families that came to visit the booth last Sunday. The families in these photos were those that I have helped with fit check.

With this year’s IWD theme being “Embracing Equity”, I realised that as a babywearing consultant who believes that babywearing should be accessible to all, I found myself sharing with many at the the baby fair on the criteria of ergonomic baby carriers. Because I know every family lives on a different budget. And regardless of their budget, they still can carry their babies ergonomically.

I hope my interpretation of this year’s IWD theme is correct coming from my perspective as a believer in babywearing. 😊

What I do at a baby fair as a babywearing consultant:
1. Answer any questions on babywearing e.g., benefits of babywearing for babies and parents, criteria of ergonomic baby carriers, safe babywearing, etc. including teaching the parents on how to do a pelvic tuck and sharing other tips,
2. Guide the parents on putting on the Ergobaby baby carrier samples correctly using the demo doll, and
3. Provide fit check to new and current Ergobaby owners.

Actually when I notice current Ergobaby owners who are not using the carrier safely or properly, I would invite them to come over for a fit check. And that was the case with the families in the first 2 photos.

In the last photo, the family came with a not-so-ergonomic baby carrier and decided to buy the Ergobaby Omni 360 after trying a sample and felt the immediate difference.

I’m glad to have helped them in carrying their children safely and comfortably.
