How well do you know the passive voice in English? 🤷
When using the passive voice, we put the object at the start of the sentence to emphasise it. We make the passive using the following structure:
noun + verb ‘be’+ past participle
But we must change the form of ‘be’ if we want to use different tenses. For example:
Present simple → The meal is prepared.
Present continuous → The meal is being prepared.
Past simple → The meal was prepared.
Future tense → The meal will be prepared.
