ATC (Advance Tertiary College)

In honour of Mental Health Awareness month, we just wanted to ask you for some tips and strategies that you employ when your studies or life in general gets a little overwhelming. Your sharing may help someone else in need.

This is also a friendly reminder to all our students if you are feeling overwhelmed or are struggling with mental health issues, please know that ATC has a counsellor on board that you can talk to. Please reach out to your respective heads of department or our Mental Health and wellbeing lead Ms. Suloshiny (7th floor).

ATC is proud to announce that the University of London has named us as a Recognised Teaching Centre (RTC) that has been awarded a bursary that we will be using to award scholarships to our students. ATC will be matching the funds awarded by the scholarship to every student awarded.

28 institutions worldwide have been selected to receive this funds for its students and ATC is the ONLY INSTITUTION IN MALAYSIA that has been selected.

The funding will certainly help our students achieve their dreams of higher education, specifically in law.

This scholarship is open for new students registering with ATC for the University of London LLB programme in the 2026/2027 academic year. Stay tuned for more details on the application process for the scholarship.

We are proud of this recognition given to ATC. Our stellar academic performance and excellent faculty have all put ATC in this position to receive such recognition.

ATC welcomed approximately 50 students who are in their final year of school to our KL campus for the Junior Lawyers Workshop, co-organised with EduAdvisor.

This was the second edition of the event and it proved to be a bigger success than the previous edition.

The participants learnt about how laws are made in Parliament and participated in a very hands on parliamentary debate where participants were divided into members of the government and the opposition and proceeded to debate a piece of legislation.

Participants then honed their advocacy skills by participating in a moot court session where they were divided into a prosecution team and a defence team to argue a fictitious case before them.

All who participated enjoyed themselves and had a very good learning experience.

⚖️ Understanding the Law in the Digital Age ⚖️

Our Foundation in Law students from our Penang campus had the privilege of attending an insightful talk by Mr Ng Kian Nam of Ng Kian Nam & Partners, who shared valuable knowledge on several recently enacted laws in Malaysia relating to bullying, harassment, doxxing, and stalking.

Drawing on recent Malaysian cases, Mr Ng explained how these laws operate in practice and highlighted the legal consequences that can arise from actions both online and offline.

As future legal professionals and informed citizens, understanding these developments is essential in navigating an increasingly connected world.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr Ng Kian Nam for taking the time to share his expertise and create greater awareness among our students.

ATC’s student, Ms. Rachel Lo Wun Shuang has emerged as the top student for 2 CLP subjects, as announced in the CLP Convocation ceremony held on 30th April 2026.

She passed her CLP on her first attempt and won the award for being the BEST STUDENT NATIONWIDE for 2 subjects - General Paper and Criminal Procedure.

We congratulate her and her incredible achievements and wish her all the best in her career ahead.
