Celebrating the Ireland–Malaysia Medical Connection 🇮🇪🤝🇲🇾

The IUMC Alumni & Guest Reception, held on October 11, brought together IUMC delegates, alumni, and distinguished guests in a warm celebration of partnership, shared achievements, and the enduring bond between Ireland and Malaysia.

We were honoured to welcome H.E. Orla Tunney, Ambassador of Ireland to Malaysia, who delivered the opening remarks, followed by a welcome message from Prof. Paula O’Leary (University College Cork).

The evening was accompanied by the soothing notes of a harpist, adding a unique touch to the occasion. 🎶

Here’s to fostering even more meaningful connections and collaborations in the years ahead.

We had a wonderful afternoon at the IUMC Medical Education in Ireland Seminar on October 11 at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur! 🇮🇪✨

A big thank you to the IUMC delegates from Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork, University College Dublin, and University of Galway for joining us and sharing valuable insights about studying Medicine in Ireland.

We were also delighted to hear from our IUMC Alumni Speakers, who shared their inspiring journey as medical students in Ireland and now as healthcare professionals in Malaysia. 💬👩‍⚕️

It was a truly valuable and informative session for all prospective students and parents exploring a future in Medicine.

The IUMC team has had a busy and rewarding few weeks visiting international schools across Myanmar, Thailand, and Manila.

Our representative attended university fairs and delivered presentations to students and parents, sharing information about studying in Ireland and the opportunities available through IUMC.

A special thank you to the fantastic guidance counselling teams at each school for their warm hospitality and support. Most of all, we were inspired by the enthusiasm and curiosity of the students we met along the way — it’s always a pleasure to engage with such bright and motivated young minds! ☘️☘️🙏🙏
