Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah's (PSIS) Head of CISEC, Noorarizawaty binti Aris, explains how the recently inaugurated Friendship Institute with Guangdong Polytechnic of Environmental Protection Engineering will give students the skills sought after by employers.

This is even more strategic given that PSIS is the only institute in Malaysia that offers a diploma course in Environmental Engineering.

On 18 August, we held a follow-up meeting with Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Indonesia to discuss the possibilities of facilitating lecture mobilities, UI international programmes, establishing a Transnational Education Partnership Project (TEP), and hosting/participating in international competitions.

Rina Martini, M.Si., Chairman of the Commission for International Cooperation, Dr. Aidil Azhar, S.P., M.Sc., and Member of the Cooperation Commission, 3. Aulia Irhamni Fajri, S.Pt., M.Sc.

On 18 August 2026, the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM) marked an important milestone in advancing international educational cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. The signing ceremony was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

Through this collaboration, ICCCM looks forward to working closely with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan to promote greater international engagement, facilitate knowledge exchange, and explore meaningful initiatives that contribute to the development of education and transnational cooperation.

On 14 August, we held our first meeting with the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) to formally introduce ourselves to each other.

We also discussed the possibilities of collaboration in postgraduate programmes, joint research, joint curriculum development, and international conferences.

On 14 August, we successfully held a follow-up meeting with the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Nigeria, to discuss the potential collaboration in developing a Foreign Language + Skills Training (FLST) programme, infrastructure development, as well as hosting international conferences and visiting professors.

We look forward to further strengthening our cooperation in the near future as we move closer towards our shared goals.
