Growing up, my uncle once gave me a piece of advice that has stayed with me ever since.

“If you get poor results, your choices become limited. Don’t let your results decide your future. Instead, achieve results that give you the freedom to choose the path you truly want.”

As I grew older, I realised he wasn’t saying that grades define a person’s worth. He was reminding me that good results open doors. They give you more opportunities, more choices, and more control over your own future.

I resonate with this quote because I remember a time when I was a student and felt that, no matter what I did, I wasn’t getting the results I wanted. It often seemed as though I wasn’t making any progress at all. There were topics that felt impossible to understand, even when I genuinely tried my best to focus.

I know many students can relate to this feeling. But as the saying goes, “hard work pays off.” If you keep moving in the right direction, you will eventually experience a breakthrough. Trust the process, stay consistent, and believe that the time and effort you invest today will be worth it in the end.

A Minute with Mr Low | Part 2: Growing Through Passion and Purpose

Some careers are chosen. Others find you.

What started as a part-time tutoring job soon became a lifelong passion. Through every lesson, Mr Low discovered the joy of sharing knowledge and watching students grow in confidence.

As that passion grew, so did his vision. Wanting to create a place where every student could truly thrive, he took a leap of faith and invited his girlfriend at the time, Ms Tan, to build that dream together.

Today, they continue that journey side by side not only as husband and wife, but as educators united by a shared purpose: helping every child grow, succeed, and realise their full potential.
