Discerning institutional investors are paying more attention to structural opportunities being created by government policies as well as the tech progression across the GCC amid a changing investment environment.
Investors are gravitating towards what ARAM Capital Partners call “Legislative alpha”: sectors where government policy is effectively underwriting demand such as Saudi construction, Kuwait’s mortgage-led credit cycle, Qatar’s liquefied natural gas expansion and the UAE’s population-driven growth, which reshape earning power durably.
“Two years ago, the question was ‘how much GCC?’; Since February it’s become ‘which country, which sector, which balance sheet can absorb a shock?,’” CEO Yazan Abdeen told IFN Investor.
