We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 10th International Conference on Libraries, Information and Society 2026 (ICoLIS 2026), which will be held on 21st - 23rd October 2026 at Resorts World Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia. The conference aims to bring together Library & Information Science (LIS) professionals to share new ideas and application experiences face to face, establish business or research relations, and find global partners for future collaboration. The objectives are:

🔹To provide a platform for academics, professionals, industry players, researchers, and students to share and exchange experiences, knowledge, and perspectives; and

Closing Ceremony of Summer Enrichment Program 🎉

13 March 2026, we bid farewell to our dear friends from Zhengzhou University at the Closing Ceremony of the Summer Enrichment Program! 💕

The ceremony took place at Dataran Sastera, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya, and was a heartwarming celebration of the 13 students' remarkable journey with us from 5th Jan to 25th Mar 2026.

They explored various topics, including Information context and perspectives, Library for Society, AI for academic research, and more! They also got to experience our culture and academic environment through exciting excursions to UM's cultural museum, University Malaya Art Gallery, UM Main library, and Rimba Ilmu.

We're grateful for their presence and enthusiasm, which made our Department of Library and Information Science truly come alive! We'll miss them dearly, but wish them all the best for their future endeavors!

Heartiest congratulations to Dr. Ali Fauzi Ahmad Khan, on your appointment as Head of Library and Information Science Department (2 Mar 2026 - 30 Apr 2028)! 🎉
