My Playpen students and teacher are on an exchange programme to Japan this year! They are placed in Yanagimachien preschool in Kadoma just an hour out of Osaka. 2 days in, and they are enjoying school despite the language barrier! The School is an open ended play school and the Japanese emphasise play and value learning for the early years instead of academic!

Throwback to our mother’s day event this year. We made tie and dye scarves. We hope all the mummies can use this and remember the moments they created this with their child om Mother’s Day 2026!

“My job matters.”

That is a mantra I remind my teachers of every single day.

The words a teacher says, the small nods of encouragement, the gestures, the patience, the way they respond to a child’s mistakes and successes ,all these shape a child’s self-belief, confidence, and childhood memories in ways we sometimes cannot fully see.

Teachers play the second most important role after parents. They can either build a child up or slowly break a child down. That is why at My Playpen, I always remind my team that our work is never “just a job.” What we do makes a real difference in the lives of children, families, and the community around us.

For the past 16 years, I have been truly blessed and fortunate to lead a group of teachers who share the same values and heart for children. Teachers who have journeyed together through the growth of My Playpen, and who continue to pour love, patience, care, and dedication into every child who walks through our doors.

To my dear teachers of My Playpen ,you know who you are ,thank you. You create great significance in the lives of children every single day, and you continue to inspire me to become a better leader.

Happy Teachers’ Day. ❤️

Motherhood has been one of the hardest journeys I’ve ever walked through… and also the happiest.

Some days are beautiful and picture perfect.
Some days are hospital beds, sleepless nights, fevers, vomit, medicines, bad hair up dos and tired eyes.
And somehow… in between all that exhaustion, there are still smiles, cuddles, tiny hands holding onto you, and moments that make your heart feel so full.

These photos reminds me that motherhood is not about having it all together. It’s about showing up, even when we are tired, worried, overstimulated, touched out, or running on very little sleep. It’s about loving so deeply that even difficult moments become meaningful memories.

As a mother myself, I understand how important it is to have people around us who truly support and understand this journey. At My Playpen, we have always believed that raising children is never meant to be done alone. We are all part of the same ecosystem — parents, teachers, caregivers, and children growing, learning, supporting, and holding one another together through both the joyful and difficult seasons.

To all the amazing moms of My Playpen thank you for the invisible work you do every single day. The comforting, carrying, feeding, cleaning, worrying, sacrificing, and loving without limits.

May we always remember that even on the hard days, our children will remember the warmth of our presence, the safety of our hugs, and the love in our smiles.

Happy Mother’s Day ❤️
From one happy, tired mama to another.

Wheels on the Bus took us outdoors today 🌿🚌☀️

At My Playpen, our beautiful garden becomes an extension of the classroom — where fresh air, open space and nature invite children to move, imagine and explore. Through our Wheels on the Bus playgroup, little learners sang, rolled, built roads, picked up passengers and created their own journeys through open-ended play.

Using our Plan Toys vehicles and PlanToys family figures, children explored movement, transport, relationships and storytelling in a meaningful hands-on way. As they moved families onto buses, cars and roads, they were also building language, imagination, social skills, coordination and problem-solving.

Not every school has the gift of a beautiful outdoor environment — and we are proud to make full use of ours every day. Because childhood should be filled with sunshine, movement, wonder and play. 💛
