A classroom is more than chairs and tables.

It is a place where children feel safe to learn, to explore, and to believe in what they can become.
But many classrooms across Malaysia still lack the quality education and support students need to truly thrive.

With just RM25/month, you can help provide opportunities for students who need them most.

The two-year Fellowship journey is a challenging one. But that does not mean you walk it alone.

Leadership Development Officers (LDOs) like Thanusha work closely with Fellows throughout their journey, supporting them as they develop their leadership capacity, navigate complex situations, and grow into leaders for their students and communities. From classroom observations and lesson planning support to reflective coaching conversations and emotional encouragement during difficult moments, LDOs play an important role in helping Fellows continue growing through the challenges of the Fellowship.

Because creating lasting impact in education is not a journey anyone takes alone.

If you are looking for a career with purpose, growth, and impact, applications for the Teach For Malaysia Fellowship are now open.

What makes someone “Fellowship material”?

As Fellows, you navigate new environments, face challenges, and work towards building solutions to the education inequities experienced by many schools and communities.

Creating lasting impact is no small task. It requires Malaysians with the right mindset and the ability to learn, adapt, and grow through the journey.

If you are looking for a career with purpose, and the opportunity to challenge yourself to become the best version of yourself, this is it.

We often see one side of the story, where we see a struggling student.
But if you could see the flip side of the effort to reach out to that student, you’d see that same student standing on a stage, leading a company, or holding their own child with the same patience you once showed them.

Don't just watch the story unfold.
Be the flip side of their story.

Guru Bitara Nadi Negara. This year’s theme celebrates the tireless dedication of our teachers in building character, nurturing potential, and inspiring young leaders. We hope this story captures just how deep and lasting their impact truly is. Happy Teachers’ Day from us at Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman and Teach For Malaysia!

Behind every milestone we reach is a path laid years ago by our mums. They taught us how to stand up, how to try again, and how to lead with heart. We’re looking back at the first teachers who shaped us.

Happy Mother’s Day!
What’s the biggest lesson your mom taught you?🤍

Malaysia is lowering the school entry age to 6. The key question is whether the system and classrooms are ready for what comes next. From implementation challenges to classroom readiness and equity gaps, this reform raises important questions about how we support every child to succeed.

Read the full Ed Pulse article on our website to understand what this means for the future of education in Malaysia.

As Malaysia introduces new reforms to shape the next decade of education, Teach For Malaysia is calling for passionate Malaysians to step forward and lead change where it matters most, in classrooms.

There are many roles that a Fellow takes on for their students. For Ashveeta, the Fellowship gave her the opportunity to experience these roles, which helped her build deeper connections with her students.

Along the way, having her cohort as a support system, people who had her back on the tough days, made the journey even more meaningful. That is what cohort culture is about.

Every step in this journey is built on connection and purpose.

I Can. I Will.
