In conjunction with , CKI HELP CAT attended an educational trip to the National Science Centre on Saturday (27 October 2018), organized by our parent club, Kiwanis Pantai KL for the children of Heavenly Home and Reading Station.

Our members were tasked with the supervision of the safety of these children, and immersing ourselves in exciting science experiments and exhibitions! The children also witnessed some amazing science tricks demonstrated by the staff there, and participate in science quizzes!

CKI HELP CAT has had an amazing time with these children, and we hope that they will continue to grow to love science and technology even outside of their educational institutions!

We would also like to thank our sponsors for their continuous guidence and support in helping us to give back to our community around the city of Kuala Lumpur!

On the 6th of October, Circle K of HELP CAT visited the Rumah Kanak-kanak Impian located in PJ. The aim of that community service was to spread unity awareness to the children. Hence, our volunteers came up with a game called the newspaper fashion show, where the kids were given an amount of time to recreate a Malaysian traditional outfit. Then, they would have to showcase their ‘outfit’ to develop their soft skills.

Everyone had fun throughout the visit especially during the ice breaking session. A company also sponsored the home some cleaning agents and personal care products as a gesture of kindness. We truly appreciate any form of kindness, including the love spared by our members. ❤️

HELP CAT - Circle K 30-Hour Famine DIY Camp 2018 21/10/2018

On the 21st & 22nd of July, Circle K of HELPCAT had co-hosted the 2018 30-hour Famine DIY Camp that took place in HELP College of Arts & Technology. This year, the camp spotlighted on the awareness of food insecurity & malnutrition. All funds raised would be channelled towards projects combating food insecurity & malnutrition that aim to improve the well-being of children & families in need.

The 2018 HELPCAT - Circle K 30-hour Famine DIY Camp had successfully recruited 300 campers and 80 volunteers from various places. Through the camp, we believe that the participants had gained more insight of how a voluntary service would benefit the community.

We still have some exclusive event t-shirts in stock that we are hoping to sell! Please contact us to get yours today!

Attached are the photos from the event. Enjoy! 😉

Hello everyone! A few weeks ago, the committee members of Circle K of HELP CAT were invited to a charity event of a Bowling Tournament hosted by Kiwanis USJ today, 11th August 2018, at Sunway Pyramid.

The purpose of this charity event is to aid the poor, homeless and the marginalized people. Different Kiwanis clubs were all gathered to compete in this bowling competition. We saw many different individuals and their unique skill sets and passion for this game!

It can only be described in the words of our Immediate Past President 2017/2018, Rill Kan, as "A great bonding session with everyone from different clubs, and a pleasure to be acquainted with such talented and passionate individuals."

Their passion in bowling and service have inspired us to continue doing our best efforts at all times! Thank you!

Today, Friday (22/6/2018), members of CKI HELP CAT visited the Pusat Jagaan Siddharthan which is an orphanage and home for the disabled.

We had a fun time playing games with the children, and as usual, we had an arts and craft session with them. We showed them how to craft a D.I.Y stationery holder using coloured popsicle sticks, paper, glue and ribbons!

We also found out that these children come from public schools, Chinese vernacular schools, and also Tamil vernacular schools. They made us feel welcomed by calling us terms such as "brother" and "sister".

The visit ended 3 hours later with a photography session accompanied with tea soon after!

We would like to thank the management of Pusat Jagaan Siddharthan for allowing us to visit and spend quality time with them, and also not to forget the members of CKI HELP CAT that came along to assist our efforts!

For this month's community service, members of CKI HELP CAT visited an orphanage by the name of Rumah Victory Children's Home located in Taman OUG! It's a 20 minute drive from HELP CAT.

Together with the children, we explored some child-friendly scientific experiments such as teaching them how to make Elephant Toothpaste and making lava lamps!

For the members, we've had our fingers crossed that these experiments might work as we have not tried them physically as we have only discovered them on YouTube. We are glad to announce that all attempts by the children that were with us had successfully carried out these experiments!

We have shared in their joy of sheer happiness today! In our ice breaking session before that, we learnt of the children's dreams and ambitions for their future, and we are glad to have shared and left a tiny memory of scientific experiments with them.

We would like to thank them for granting us an energetic and enjoyable day! Please grow up to be inquisitive always!

Today (10/2/2018), we have welcomed some new international student members from Vietnam and South Korea to CKI HELP CAT over a friendly game of badminton.

Apart from having a fiery passion for community service, we would also want our members to frequently engage in healthy lifestyle activities such as sports. As such, whenever possible, sports-based team building games will be included in our monthly meetings.

Should anyone have any suggestions or ideas for this initiative, please feel free to contact or approach any of our committee members to further improve this club's social cohesion.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful day with us! Looking forward to seeing all of you in the next meeting!

AGM and Board Installation 2017/18 28/12/2017

Our club had the annual general meeting on 11th of November 2017. We are grateful to have supportive members to keep this club growing strong and wild. The speeches given by committees and directors were truthful and inspiring.

Year 2017 has been a rollercoaster ride for us, however everyone strived to achieve our goals and it has been the best year for the club. The teamwork has been seen across all the events and the effort from supportive members and volunteers are greatly appreciated.

We have high expectation on the next board of directors to bring this club further and better. And do our best to reach out to those who need a helping hand. Thank you to everyone who has been supportive to this club.
