Established since 2007 by HOM Art Trans, the Young & New are an annual open call for Malaysian young artists to showcase their talents. This group exhibition also gives the opportunities for the new talents to exhibit their works and exposing them to the public. The Young & New serve as a stepping stone for these artists to kick-start their professional careers as visual artists and give them a chance to expose their hidden skills & talents.
There are more than 70 submissions for this year edition coming from various public & private art institutions as well as by self-taught artists across the nation. 22 artists were short-listed from that and more than 35 artworks will be on display at HOM Art Trans, Kuala Lumpur from 12 until 26 January 2019.
