Our bodies hold it all—pleasure and pain, shame and pride, resilience and transformation. This edition of Just Stories cracks open the silence and puts real, unfiltered stories centre stage.

From living with HIV, to life after a vasectomy, to the unapologetic voice of a drag queen, 7 storytellers will bare their truths in just 7 minutes each. And if you’re feeling brave, the mic is yours too.

This isn’t just another event. It’s an afternoon of honesty, courage, and connection, a reminder that our bodies are more than skin and bones - they’re archives of every messy, beautiful chapter we’ve lived.

We’re showcasing 3 back-to-back events in December by *xplains! Starting with Just Stories which took place at !

We’ve always wanted to a storytelling event where we bring storytellers to share their stories for 7 minutes each and in the second half of the event, audience members get share their reflection on the stories or share their own stories! After the event ends, everyone got to mingle and share thoughts and ideas with one another!

The theme was “Adulting: Sh*t Nobody Told Us About”. Big thanks to our storytellers Hareena, Amara, Alvira, .rupa, and for saying yes to sharing your stories. Special shoutout to our audience members Cintha and for coming up to share yours too.

Thanks so much Shazlin and team from for hosting us!!

✨Next Just Stories event will happen February 2025. Watch out for the poster!

Thank you .my and for inviting me to speak. Part of the work that I enjoy doing is giving talks and connecting with people, so it’s always an honour to be invited to speak.

For SIS, I had the privilege to be a part their Youth Empowerment Program, supported by Seputeh MP, and attended by university students. We talked about Bodily Autonomy and Contraception.

For RRAAM, it was for Bukit Gasing’s Women’s Health Day where we too spoke about Bodily Autonomy specifically covering the topics of consent, boundaries and consent vs coercion.

FINAL CALL FOR OUR EVENT THIS SUNDAY! Come join us. Check out the list of storytellers we have this time around. I cannot wait to hear their take on adulting and life in general.
