Why learn investing?
Because if you do not know how to make money while you sleep, you will have to work until you die. No amount of money is enough.

A RM750k, if invested in diversified dividend stocks can still get around 6% per year dividend income in Malaysia. That’s RM3750/month, continuously (no end) and this income could still potentially grow!

(And it’s not difficult at all to do this)

It’s not much but it could support someone’s basic necessities for life.

Retiring on a fixed amount of money is never gonna work because we do not know how long we will live and we also cannot control what is the inflation gonna be like. What we can do is to let our money work for us when we can no longer work for our money.

But this skill SHOULD NOT be only picked up after you retire. It’s like you want to invest your life savings using super beginner skill in a market where there are many pros. This skill should be learnt & practiced since young with small amount of money.

There’s no Facebook live tonight and tomorrow but I would like to share an insight I got from observing investors over the past 10 years.

The reason why you’re still not profitable despite learning chart analysis, advanced indicators, analyse company, using software, options, US stocks is… you haven’t found your own investment style.

I think finding your investment style is so under-rated. For example, many beginners try to be like Warren Buffett, buy a stock that they think is cheap and hold. It’s a recipe for disaster because 1) They do not know how to really know what is a good company 2) They don’t have the patience & holding power like Warren Buffett.

Value Investing sounds good but when you buy a stock as a beginner and it goes down for 6 months, you want to quit.

Then they pivot to becoming a trader focusing on chart analysis. They trade various stocks, Malaysia, US, penny stocks, good company, some wins some losses. From those wins and loss they start to make conclusion on whether the indicator they use is not working since it doesn’t give consistent profit, not realising they are applying it on too diverse type of stocks to see a clear pattern.

The problem here is, you need to find what you are good at and what strategy, investment suits you. Then you stick to it. That way, you will see more consistent profit.

So in short, find your investment style.

Second thing is, you need to get the big trend right and now it is A.I. Disregard the noise of gloom and doom because A.I is a big trend and if you miss this boom, the opportunity cost is so high.
