Priyanga Pathmanathan (Prithy Path) was born in Bremen, Germany and is fluent in Tamil, German and English. She teaches English and Social Studies at the Georg-Droste school for the blind and visually impaired. Besides her teaching professions, she works as a part-time care assistant at a childcare home and supervises children.

She is a B.A. Special Needs Education and English Graduate of the University of Oldenburg. At the same university, she is currently completing her M.Ed in Special Needs Education and English. Priyanga plans to pursue further education by taking a 12-months Online-Teacher Training Course to obtain her Diploma in Special Ed. at the LCIPS in Colombo, Sri Lanka. From 2016 to 2018, she worked as a trainer at the non-profit organization Chancenwerk e.V., led the Train-the-Trainer Programme and trained student employees in regional and nationwide meetings in Bremen, Berlin and Caustrop Rauxel, Germany. In addition, she worked in 2018 as a test coordinator for the Lower Saxony State Institute for School Quality Development.

Before joining as an internal member, she volunteered in 2018 for six weeks through comdu.it's an associateship Program as Youth Facilitator. She was successfully placed with the local partner organization Church of American Ceylon Mission in Kudaththanai, Sri Lanka, where she taught ESL to younger and older students. On behalf of comdu.it Priyanga developed, coordinated, and implemented, from May 2020 to May 2021, together with Suvadi, the e-classroom project "Google Classroom Training '' to enable digital education and upskill Tamil-speaking teachers and educators district-wide in Sri Lanka.

Priyanga's local placement in 2018 and continued role as the Education portfolio lead and as a member at German chapter Board of Directors has been pivotal in the Education Portfolio and organizational mandates of comdu.it works. After working for several non-profit organizations, acquiring qualitative competencies, gaining working experience through teaching internships in different schools during her studies and her deep connection to the Tamil culture and language, Priyanga aims to share her knowledge and skills-set through direct engagement with teachers and educators in Sri Lanka by fostering their digital literacy and empowering them sustainably as multipliers in the field of digital education.
