A Successful UOSA AGM & Engagement Day 2026

What an amazing day bringing the optometry community together!

Held on 12th March 2026, the UOSA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was a meaningful moment for us to reflect on our achievements, discuss future plans, and strengthen the shared vision of the UCSI Optometry Student Association (UOSA).

Beyond the formal AGM session, the engagement activities created a lively and supportive atmosphere where students could connect, bond, and build friendships that go beyond the classroom. 🤝👁️

Bridging Academia & Industry

Over the past month, the School of Optometry has been actively strengthening connections with industry through a series of engagement sessions and workshops with leading partners in the eye care sector.

These sessions provided our students with valuable opportunities to interact directly with industry professionals, gain insights into current technologies, and better understand real-world practices in optometry and vision care.

Learning beyond the classroom is essential in preparing future optometrists, and collaborations like these help bridge academic knowledge with industry experience.

GOOD NEWS FOR UCSI OPTOMETRY ALUMNI!

The UCSI School of Optometry has formalized a collaboration between UCSI University and Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. Through this collaboration, our alumni and graduates are eligible to progress directly into Year 3 of the Bachelor of Vision Science, which serves as the entry pathway to the Master of Optometry.

This Master of Optometry incorporates training in therapeutic optometry, equipping graduates with the credentials to co-manage and work alongside ophthalmologists. Upon completion of the master’s programme, graduates will have the opportunity to practice in AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND.
