The FAESS Townhall Meeting was successfully held at Indahsari Hall, Universiti Geomatika Malaysia, bringing together Diploma and Bachelor ECE students to kick off the new semester with clear academic direction and updated information.
The session provided students with the opportunity to receive important academic updates, understand semester expectations and procedures, ask questions, share feedback, and connect with the Faculty.
More than just an information session, the Townhall strengthened communication, built confidence, and fostered a stronger sense of belonging within the FAESS community.

UGM PARTICIPATES IN SRM IPT 2026 WORKSHOP

University of Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) participated in the Youth Friends Secretariat Strengthening Workshop for Higher Education Institutions (SRM IPT), Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur 2026, held from 7 to 9 August 2026 at Kompleks Rakan Muda Desaru, Johor.
UGM was represented by Mr. Aqil Aided, lecturer, together with two students, Ahmad Mirza Zikri Bin Ismail, Bachelor of Geographic Information System (GIS) & Application Development, and Jennifer Stephine Benjamin, Bachelor of Law Enforcement & Investigation.
The workshop provided participants with opportunities to strengthen leadership, teamwork, communication, and youth development skills, while also fostering networking and collaboration among representatives from higher education institutions.
UGM is pleased to support initiatives that encourage student participation, leadership development, and active involvement in youth and community programmes.

The staff of University of Geomatika Malaysia participated in the Gemini AI & Learning Content Sharing Session, presented by Assoc. Prof. Abu Ubaidah Amir Bin Abdul Aziz, Director of Program Development & Accreditation, University of Geomatika Malaysia.
The session provided valuable insights into leveraging Gemini AI to create more effective learning content while fostering innovation and digital transformation across the university.
This initiative builds on UGM’s commitment to strengthening AI literacy among educators, with lecturers and staff recently completing the Google & Gemini AI Training. Congratulations to the 43 incredible lecturers and staff for officially achieving:

Today, the Faculty of Education & Social Science, University of Geomatika Malaysia (UGM), had the pleasure of welcoming the Owner of Taska Permata Didik & Tadika Permata Cilik for an Industry Interview Session with our Early Childhood Education students. The session provided a meaningful opportunity for students to experience a real industry interview, interact directly with an experienced preschool operator, gain valuable insights into employer expectations and professional practice, and prepare themselves for their upcoming practicum from August to November 2026. Thank you to our industry partner for sharing their expertise and inspiring our future educators.
