🎪 看完《Legend of the Sea》后的一点感动分享｜Bukit Jalil
昨晚在 Bukit Jalil 看了
Great British Circus - Legend of the Sea，
真的只能用一句话形容：
紧张到捏把冷汗，但又忍不住一直拍手！

每一位表演者，都是用尽全力、带着笑容，把欢乐送给每一位观众。
看到他们在高空、翻转、抛接、平衡的那一刻，
你会很清楚知道——
👉 这些不是“天赋而已”，
👉 而是无数次的 练习、失败、调整、再来。
那真的是一种 血与泪的累积。

我最感动的是——
里面还有小朋友也参与在表演当中。
在他们身上，我看到的是：
认真、不放弃、把每一次练习都当成正式上场。

中间的 transition 余兴游戏也非常好笑、好玩，
和观众的互动自然又有温度，
每一段，真的都有惊喜。

👨‍👩‍👧 看完后，其实很适合跟孩子聊这几件事：
1️⃣「当他们站在那么高的地方表演时，你觉得他们心里可能有什么感觉？紧张？害怕？兴奋？如果是你，你最希望别人怎样支持你？」
👉 聊的是：觉察情绪 × 被理解 × 被支持的感觉

2️⃣「如果他们第一次一定做不好，那他们是怎么做到现在这么厉害的？」
👉 聊的是：失败的意义 + 练习的重要

3️⃣「你觉得他们如果中途放弃了，我们今天还看得到这个表演吗？」
👉 聊的是：坚持，才会有结果

当孩子慢慢明白：
👉 原来“精彩”是这样一点一点换回来的，
他们看待 失败、挫折、练习 的眼光，也会慢慢不一样。

昨天我到现场参观了 Program Rancakkan MADANI，以一位教育工作者的角度来看，这是一个非常适合孩子进行“真实世界学习”的活动。

现场可以近距离看到与“社区小英雄”相关的展示，包括：
🚓 警察车与设备
🚤 Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia（海军）
🚑 救援队与紧急工具
🚛 各类交通与工程车辆
🎪 表演舞台与大型开放活动空间

让我特别有感的是：
✅ 孩子不是从“课本”认识社会，而是从“真实场景”理解
✅ 可以建立对安全、责任、职业角色的认知
✅ 场地非常宽敞，很适合孩子奔跑、活动、释放精力
✅ 对培养孩子的 好奇心、勇气与社会意识都非常有帮助

这是那种能让孩子把“学习”真正连结到“生活”的体验型活动。

Yesterday I visited Program Rancakkan MADANI, and it’s honestly a great real-life learning environment for children — even just walking through as an educator, I could already see how meaningful this is for kids’ development.

There are real displays of our community helpers, including:
🚓 Police vehicles & equipment
🚤 Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (navy)
🚑 Rescue teams & emergency tools
🚛 Transportation & machinery
🎪 Performance stage & open activity space

What stood out most to me:
✅ Everything is hands-on & real
✅ Children can see how our society functions
✅ The space is very spacious — perfect for running, moving, and releasing energy
✅ Great for building awareness, bravery & curiosity

This is the kind of exposure that helps children connect learning with real life, not just screens or worksheets.

Reading Detective Escape Room @ BookXcess — Mission Completed!
Another win for our M.O.D.E.L Reading mission!

Last Sunday, our young detectives turned BookXcess into an investigation HQ — decoding clues, cracking secret messages, and solving a full escape-room mission.

But behind all the fun, every activity was carefully designed to strengthen the core skills we train in M.O.D.E.L Reading — helping children Read Beyond Words through Observation, Meaning-making, Logical Thinking, and Linking clues together.

Here’s how the escape-room mission secretly boosted real reading power 👇✨

🔎 1. Detective Eyes Activated
Kids learned to slow down and spot tiny clues — just like noticing important words in a story instead of skimming!

🧠 2. Thinking Beyond the Obvious
Some clues weren’t directly shown, so detectives had to guess the hidden meaning — the same skill needed to read between the lines.

🗺 3. Follow the Mission Steps
Every puzzle had an order: first → next → last.
Great practice for understanding story sequence and not getting “lost” in the middle!

🔢 4. Memory Mode ON
Detectives had to remember earlier clues to solve later puzzles — just like remembering characters and events when reading.

🗝 5. Putting All Clues Together
The final escape required kids to connect everything they learned — exactly how readers link ideas across chapters to understand the full story.

🎉 And the best part?
They thought they were just playing.
But the whole time…
they were training to Read Beyond Words — the heart of our MODEL READING mission.
