ABOUT THE AWARDS
The Drawing of the Year Awards are the ultimate international accolade in visual representations across architecture, design and the arts. Hosted by Archisource, the aspirational Awards recognise excellence in creative imagery of the built environment. 2024 marks the fifth year of the Awards which is in partnership with Affinity.
In 2024 the Awards received 6,500 submissions from over 100 countries. The Awards celebrate all mediums and styles, awarding the most accomplished visual creations and creative talents.
“Our mission at Archisource has always been to support and inspire the creative community and the Drawing of the Year is a celebration of creativity. We believe creativity incites creativity and we’re very proud that the free-to-enter awards have become one of the most accessible and inclusive drawing Awards of its kind that now inspires so many around the world.”
The 2024 expert judging panel included creative practitioners and industry experts each with unique knowledge and experience of architecture, design and image creation. With members of the panel from renowned studios and collectives including: Narinder Sagoo MBE Senior Partner at Foster + Partners, Sam Hudson Art Director at Hayes Davidson, Will Jefferies Associate at RSHP, Eliza Grosvenor Head of Programme at London Festival of Architecture, Agata Murasko Architect at Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, Emily Glynn and Mansel Haynes Co-Founders of Archisource.
2024 saw our largest prize offering with £100,000 GBP ($125,000 USD) worth of prizes, including free Affinity V2 Universal Licences for the top 250 Shortlisted works and the opportunity to be published internationally.
To celebrate five years, Archisource launched their first major exhibition in Central London in early June 2024. The exhibition saw an immense array of creative works on display showcasing the top works from the Awards at the iconic Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf. Visitors were immersed in a world of creativity and the very best visual representations and creative works.
Each year the Awards recognise a great array of inspirational drawings from impactful hand sketches, highly intricate works, to the highest detailed visualisations. All the award winning drawings can be explored at archisource.org
