Mereka is a talent development ecosystem preparing creatives, professionals and entrepreneurs to be leaders and innovators in an AI-fluent and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion-committed society. Equipped with cutting edge tools, Mereka is a social space in the form of a productivity playground. The space comes fully equipped with a wood and metal workshop, electronics lab, textile and design studio, virtual reality facilities, classrooms, co-working spaces and a café too! We also conduct workshops and lectures, so if you're a budding maker, we're here to help you bloom. =) You also have the chance to work on actual commercial projects! We tracked 31 Future of Work alumni two years after they finished the programme. 70% were earning RM 2,001 or more extra a month; not at graduation, two years on.
An engineer who took a career break is now a top-performing real estate agent. A jobseeker who faced nearly 200 rejections turned a freelance gig into a full-time role.

Skills training in isolation does not solve underemployment. Sustainable workforce entry requires an end-to-end operational pathway from initial learning to verified economic independence.
Here is how Mereka’s Future of Work (FOW) Programme bridges that gap:

1️⃣ Self-Paced Digital Modules: Foundational digital and professional skill tracks designed for accessible, self-directed learning.
2️⃣ Intensive Bootcamps: Hands-on, immersive training aimed at building immediate operational capability.
3️⃣ Industry-Graded Assessments: Evaluations conducted by practicing industry experts, not automated tests, to establish true skills valuation.
4️⃣ Virtual Project Placements: 2 to 9 weeks of embedded project work with SMEs, converting theoretical training into a tangible portfolio. 5️⃣ Career Coaching & Mentorship: Personalized resume refinement, interview prep, and ongoing support connecting learning directly to income.

To date, 1,724 learners have completed this pathway, with 492 securing baseline salary stability (RM 1,200+/month) and an average monthly income gain of RM 1,793.
