For the first time since Covid-19, Campus France Malaysia will be leading a French Pavilion during Sureworks Higher Education & Further Studies Fair on 10 and 11 January 2026, at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre.

The French Pavilion will host four partner institutions:

• Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur (AFKL)
• IESEG School of Management
• EM Normandie Business School
• Sfere

A series of workshops will give insight on how to apply to study in France (Études en France session, 11 January), on the various scholarship programmes offered by JPA and Mara (Sfere and UNIKL MFI sessions), among other subjects. Please check the programme for timings.

Session attendees will receive a French welcome gift, so be sure to drop by!

Cultural Diplomacy in Action

The Cultural Department team, including Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs Thierry d’Anna and newly-arrived Attaché for Science and Higher Education Yohann Breard, has been on a series of meetings with key stakeholders recently, including the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), Multimedia University (MMU), UniKL Malaysia-France Institute (MFI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and UNIRAZAK.

The objectives behind these visits are three-fold:

▪️Get acquainted with the people behind Franco-Malaysian cooperation;
▪️Assess the state of said cooperation;
▪️Explore potential avenues and ideas for future collaboration.

We also had the chance to visit our partners’ world-class facilities — an always enjoyable part of the job which allows us to identify their needs and capacity, and to act on it.

Applications in Études en France are now open again for the September 2026 intake. With EEF, apply to multiple degrees with a single online application.

👉 You are about to obtain your A-Levels or equivalent? Apply as a DAP candidate before 15 December.
👉 You are already a student? Apply as a HDAP candidate before 1 March.

🐳 Interested in joining a marine-science related summer school in France? We got you covered!

The French Embassy in Malaysia and Campus France Malaysia are launching the second iteration of the “French + Sciences Scholarship Programme”. This year again, the programme will bring Malaysian Bachelor students on a three-week trip to Brest, France to learn more about sciences and technologies of the sea (and learn a bit of French 🇫🇷).

🦭 Knowledge of French is not mandatory. Students must be enrolled in a degree related to sciences and technologies of the sea.

📣 DREAMING OF FRANCE 🇫🇷 ?

The French Embassy in Malaysia offers three programmes to encourage student and staff mobility between France and Malaysia.

1️⃣ Master studies and pre-doctoral mobility: 12 to 14 month scholarships for students wishing to enroll in a Master’s programme in France, with the objective of pursuing their studies through a PhD in France.
📅 Application deadline: 3 April 2025, 23:59 KL Time

2️⃣ Doctoral mobility: 3 to 6 months grant for PhD students wishing to perform a research stay in France.
📅 Application deadline: 25 April 2025, 23:59 KL Time

3️⃣ Mobility for researchers and lecturers: one-month stays in France allowing for the researcher or lecturer to launch a new research or training collaboration programme - or develop an existing programme in a significant way.
📅 Application deadline: 10 April 2025, 23:59 KL Time

These calls target all areas of study and research, including science, technology, engineering, humanities, social sciences, etc. French as a Foreign Language is the only exception.

Please note that these calls are subject to funding availability.
