About MIA Department of Music
Since its inception in 1980, the Department of Music has established a robust teaching, learning and performing programme that is conducive for music enthusiasts to advance their desire to make for themselves a satisfying career in music. The Department of Music has since then produced many musicians who have made their mark in Malaysia as well as overseas. Our students have travelled to Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Inner Mongolia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Australia to perform at Music Festivals and compete at International Music Competitions. MIA’s Diploma Course is also a stepping stone to enable graduates to achieve further excellence by gaining entrance to universities and conservatories overseas.

His international experience includes prestigious film-scoring programmes and workshops in the United States, Europe, and Asia, while his orchestral works have been performed and recorded internationally.
