August marks a new journey for Gakken students as they start the 2025/2026 school year. Some have been with us for more than 3 years and some are very new-yet very eager to start.
Meanwhile, Science class this month has been experimenting with Magnet. It amuse me that students discover the new function of magnet -as a compass, rather than only an object to attract things.

Learning is definitely step by step. This week, our Year 1 student is learning 'Time'. It is amazing that they can master the topic in only 2 classes. From writing the minutes one by one, now the worksheet is clean as they already memorize it.
Starting from minutes 5, 10, 15 until 60
Now she is learning minutes 5, 6, 7, 8 ,9 until 60.
We covered not only arithmetic, but also times, areas, volumes and many more.
