Posted • We previously shared about the different roles of Air Traffic Controller (ATC). Today, let’s talk about the difference between Air Traffic Control Tower and Air Traffic Control Centre.

Air Traffic Control Tower is located near the airport and is normally the first thing you’ll see as the aircraft prepares for landing. It is where take-off, landing, taxing and ground movement are coordinated by the ATC. It is also where the ATC takes control of aircraft in flight within the designated limit (lateral and vertical) and keeps aircraft safely separated on the ground within the aerodrome. Air Traffic Control Tower is home to our aerodrome controllers.

Meanwhile, Air Traffic Control Centre is the main control centre that coordinates flights between adjacent unit (sector/country). It is where our ATC provides the required information for pilots and maintains an orderly flow of air traffic based on procedure. Air Traffic Control Centre is home to our approach controllers and area controllers.

Location: BRU, Belgium

My interest in aviation: I like the daily challenge, struggeling with airworthiness of the plane and on time departure all the time.
Never knowing what my day will be made of and working with a lot of different people and cultures.
It's also a job where you never stop learning, everyday is adding something new, and I love it!

Why aviation?: Good question, when I was studying to become a lawyer, I was cleaning planes as a student, and I finally never left the airport 😅

My advice for others: when somebody tells you can't reach that carriere, eat him!
It will give you the energy to study 😜
Everybody is able to get into that life, as long you can survive to odd hours, a lot of coffee and a high stress level with high responsibilities!

Posted • Apa itu hari Malaysia? Haa.. Hari Malaysia bukan sekadar hari cuti tau tetapi ada sejarah disebaliknya. Jom kita selusuri sejarah Hari Malaysia 🇲🇾

Hari Malaysia 🇲🇾 disambut pada 𝟭𝟲 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 setiap tahun untuk memperingati penubuhan persekutuan Malaysia di tarikh yang sama pada tahun 1963. Ia menandakan hari penyertaan bersama Tanah Melayu, Borneo Utara (Kini Sabah), Sarawak, dan Singapura bagi membentuk Malaysia 🤝

Perjanjian Penubuhan Persekutuan Malaysia telah ditandatangani oleh wakil-wakil kerajaan British, Persekutuan Tanah Melayu, Sabah, Sarawak dan Singapura untuk menubuhkan Malaysia pada 31 Ogos 1963. Namun begitu, Malaysia akhirnya diisytiharkan pada 𝟭𝟲 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟯 𝗱𝗶 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗸𝗮 𝗞𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗿. Pengisytiharan penubuhan Malaysia telah dibacakan oleh Perdana Menteri, Tunku Abdul Rahman dihadapan lebih kurang 30,000 rakyat Malaysia 👥

Bukan itu sahaja! Hari Malaysia juga merupakan cuti am di negeri Sabah sempena hari keputeraan Yang Di-Pertua Negeri namun ia bukan merupakan cuti am di Sarawak dan Semenanjung Malaysia. Walau bagaimanapun, mulai tahun 2010, Hari Malaysia merupakan cuti am di semua negeri yang terdapat di Malaysia.
